Lack creates desire. Combine that with the promotion of a location as a wallpaper for a very common operating system and an almost hysterical run on a place starts. This is exactly what happened with the so-called WAVE located in the Coyote Buttes North. As a result, access was limited to a few people per day years ago.
The area surrounding the North and South Coyote Buttes is a Wilderness Area which means that there are no maintained trails or other infrastructure. If the number of people visiting the area were not limited, this infrastructure would have to be created. This would mean that the area could no longer be a Wilderness. The sense and nonsense of this can be argued....
