Cedar Wash Arch
Description: The Cedar Wash Arch is located about 17km south of Escalante. About 10km of the drive is unpaved. During our visit in April 2022, the road was in good condition. Only shortly before the trailhead the road became more and more sandy. From the trailhead it is only a few hundred meters until you see the arch. You are on a sandstone plateau. There are no trails here, you can walk around freely and explore the area.
Trail length: ca. 1.3km
Altitude difference: ca. 80m
Time needed: 1 hour
Difficulty level: easy
Our rating: We liked the small arch consisting of white sandstone. Even if it is not necessarily the most spectacular location, we think that a small detour is well worth it. Since you can not see the arch from the wash completely, we have stayed only at the top of the rim.
