Grosvenor Arch
Description: The spectacular and imposing Grosvenor Arch can be found along Cottonwood Canyon Road about 13mi south of Kodachrome Basin SP. These 13mi are unpaved throughout and can ONLY be traveled in dry weather. Cottonwood Canyon Road is mostly well maintained and passable up to Grosvenor Arch. To get to the parking area at Grosvenor Arch, turn left off Cottonwood Canyon Road about a mile ahead. This short spur road leads directly to the parking area. From here you can already see the huge Grosvenor Arch. From the parking lot you can walk on a short trail directly to the arch.
Our rating: If you are driving on Cottonwood Canyon Road, a visit to Grosvenor Arch is a must. On the one hand you drive right past it and on the other hand the huge sandstone arch deserves a stop. The most beautiful thing, besides the great arch, is that you usually have it all to yourself and do not have to share with crowds of people.
