Boundary Butte Arch
Description: The Boundary Butte Arch can be found about 23mi south of the small village of Bluff. The last 3mi of the drive are on a really bumpy dirt road. Coordinates turnoff from Highway 191: Latitude: 37.072959; Longitude: -109.549976. The Arch is only really visible when you are almost in front of it. The road does not lead directly to the arch. To get directly to it you have to walk a few hundred feet cross-country. You can also find paths here that you might be able to use with a suitable vehicle to get even closer.
The Arch is 50ft high and only 10ft wide. This gives it a somewhat unusual appearance.
Our rating: This arch had been on our wish list ever since I had seen a photo of it on the website of our good friend Silke. In May 2023 we finally managed to actually drive here and we were not disappointed. Even though this isn't the most spectacular arch we've ever seen, we really enjoyed the detour. Including the drive to and from the arch, we spent about an hour here.
