Four Corners Monument
Description: At this point the four states of Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico and Utah meet. The point is located on the Colorado Plateau and belongs to the Navajo territory. A small monument has formed around the point, which is popular with tourists. Around the four border point there are lots of stores with jewelry and other artifacts made by the Navajo.
First the point was marked in 1875. The monument subsequently changed several times. In 1992 it got its current appearance.
Our rating: Quite nice. We wouldn't drive a huge detour for it now, but it was quite interesting to drop by here.
