Casa Grande Ruins NM
Description: The National Monument got its name from the largest preserved building, the Casa Grande, the largest known building from the Hohokam era. Besides the actual house, there are a few preserved foundation walls of other buildings at the outside area. The Casa Grande can only be seen from the outside. It is not allowed to enter.
Our rating: Quite interesting, especially for those who are interested in Native American History. As always, there is a very interesting exhibition in the Visitor Center, where you can learn all kinds of things about the time of the Hohokam. Small stopover on the way between Phoenix and Tucson.
