Colorado River – Boat trip
Description: A trip down the Colorado is one of the great adventures in the Southwest. Ok, actually it's the trip from Lees'Ferry through Grand Canyon NP, but since that's out of our reach, we opted for second best in 1999. A 15mi boat ride from the base of the Glen Canyon Dam to Lee’s Ferry. Here the ride is quite leisurely, without any rapids, but no less impressive.
The tour is offered as a half-day or full-day tour. We chose the former. Return transportation from Lee's Ferry to Page is by bus and is included in the price.
Our rating: It is a special experience to travel between the high canyon walls on this legendary river. We can highly recommend this trip.
