Amistad NRA

Description: The Amistad National Recreation Area protects the Amistad Reservoir, created in 1969 by damming the Rio Grande. It serves as a water reservoir and a recreation area that offers all water-related activities.

Our rating: We made a small stop here on our Texas round trip in March 2018. In order to drive here on purpose, we didn't consider the place to be so incredibly spectacular. But we can imagine very well that you can spend a great vacation here on the water.
