Enchanted Rock SNA
Description: Enchanted Rock is a granite monolith that rises 427ft from the surrounding area. It is located about 18.6mi north of Fredericksburg. During our visit in March 2018, we hiked the Summit Trail. As the name suggests, the trail leads up to the top of the rock. At first, the trail is marked and developed. Then, in the area of the rock, you can make your own path. The rock is grippy and so it is not particularly difficult to hike.
Trail length: 1.9mi
Höhenmeter: 292ft
Time needed: 2 hours
Difficulty level: easy
Our rating: We liked the trail quite a lot. It wasn't hard to hike and was fairly varied. There were a few interestingly shaped stones and beautiful views from above. It was not the most spectacular hike, but still worth a detour.
