Oscar Scherer SP
Description: Oscar Scherer State Park is located between Sarasota and Venice near the small town of Osprey. There are several hikes to explore the park and its inhabitants. During our visit in November 2022, we walked a combination of the red and the yellow loop. Since the terrain is more or less flat, the hike is strenuous at most because of the humidity and temperatures.
Trail length: 5mi roundtrip
Altitude difference: –
Time needed: 2-3 hours
Difficulty level: easy
Our rating: The park offers the typical landscape that you find basically everywhere in Florida. Not particularly spectacular but we still found it quite interesting to spend time in the landscape around. The highlight were certainly the turtles and water birds that you can find here.
