Jackson

Description: Jackson is located in the valley of Jackson Hole south of Grand Teton NP. The place was named after the trapper David Jackson, who wintered here several times.

Today, the town serves mainly as a base for visiting the two national parks to the north, Grand Teton and Yellowstone. You will find plenty of hotels, stores and restaurants.

Our rating:  Jackson is a nice little western town. It's fun to stroll through the stores and eat at one of the restaurants. We can recommend a stop here to anyone.
