East Interstate 80 Scenic Lookout
Description: Driving east, the Scenic Overlook is located a few miles north of the town of Hackettstown just off Interstate 80.
Fun Fact: Hackettstown is home to the factory where the delicious M&Ms are made. Unfortunately, we did not know about this when we visited in October 2010.
Our rating: We discovered the lookout rather by accident when we were driving on Interstate 80 towards New York City. We found the view great and can recommend the Scenic Overlook especially in good weather and in the fall. Since the viewpoint is right next to the interstate, you hardly lose any time.
