Marquette

Description: Marquette is the most populous city in the UP and is not only home to Northern Michigan University, but is also one of the most important inland ports on Lake Superior. As a tourist, you will not only find the necessary infrastructure here, but also plenty of opportunities for leisure activities in beautiful natural surroundings.

Our rating: We really liked Marquette. The small town is well laid out and chilled. There are lots of great restaurants and breweries that invite you to linger. It is also a very good starting point for exploring the surrounding area. There is a lot to discover in and around the town.

Our rating: We liked Big Boy. Of course, with the exception that you can't eat it every day. In our opinion, Big Boy is in the top third of fast food providers in terms of taste, range and quality of food.

Ore Dock Brewing

114 W Spring St, Marquette, Michigan 49855
HOMEPAGE

Our rating:  Very nice, modern brewery. As in other breweries in Michigan, there is nothing to eat here either, but on one of our visits there were a few food trucks outside the door. We were allowed to eat the food we bought there in the brewery. You could also try the beer brewed here and find out your favorite flavor.

Blackrocks Brewery

424 N 3rd St, Ironwood, Michigan 49855
HOMEPAGE

Our rating:  We can also recommend the Blackrocks Brewery. Here, too, there are samplers to try the home-brewed beer. The atmosphere here was also very enjoyable. There is a roof top for nice weather.
