Description: Houghton is the largest town on the Keweenaw Penisula and offers tourists everything they need in terms of infrastructure. There is a pretty historic town center with many stores, restaurants and breweries that invite you to linger. The town is a good starting point for exploring the surrounding area.
Our rating: Houghton was a pretty, very pleasant little town. There was nothing to complain about, except perhaps the extremely high hotel prices. Otherwise, we felt very comfortable here.

Our rating: We really liked the Keweenaw Brewing Company. As with the other breweries we visited in Michigan, there is also the opportunity to sample the beers brewed here. It was cozy and when the weather is nice you even have the opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the view of the river.
