Straits SP
Description: The small SP is located south of St. Ignace, directly on the shores of Lake Michigan. There is a campsite and several recreational opportunities. We were mainly here because there is a great viewpoint of the Mackinac Bridge. The viewpoint is signposted and very easy to reach. The path is well-used and only 0.1mi long.
Our rating: The view of the bridge is great, but you almost need a zoom lens for a decent photo. If you don't have one, the surrounding trees tend to dominate the scenery. Nevertheless, a short detour is definitely worthwhile.
