Description: Manistique is a tiny town on the north shore of Lake Michigan. As there is a little infrastructure here, it is a good starting point for activities in the southern part of the UP.
Our rating: Manistique is a nice little town on Lake Michigan. There's not much going on here, so Manistique was more of an overnight stop on our road trip through Michigan.

Description: Clyde's is a small burger chain with three stores in the eastern UP. Drive into the parking lot where a store employee takes your order, delivers the burgers and collects the money. You remain seated in the car. You can take the food with you or eat it outside on picnic benches.
Our rating: After the almost euphoric reviews, we were expecting something totally extraordinary. However, our expectations were not quite met. The burgers were good, but we didn't find them exceptionally better or different from other burgers.

Our rating: Tap 21 is a restaurant in downtown Manistique. You can also enjoy a freshly tapped beer at the bar. We only drank a beer here and didn't eat anything, but as the restaurant was well frequented, we assume that you can also eat well here. We liked the atmosphere.
