Cut River Bridge
Description: The Cut River Bridge is a steel bridge over the Cut River. It is located on U.S. Highway 2 between Epoufette and Brevort, about 25 miles northwest of the Straits of Mackinac. The bridge was built in 1947 and is one of only two free-span bridges in Michigan. The bridge spans the Cut River Valley 45m below.
Our rating: From the bridge you have a great view of the brightly colored trees in the Cut River Valley, especially in autumn. Unfortunately, the foliage was not as advanced in October 2024. Nevertheless, we liked it here. The only downside is the many steps you have to climb to get down to Lake Michigan and back up to the car.
