Tunnel of Trees

Description: The historic M-119 scenic road, also known as the Tunnel of Trees, runs between Harbor Springs and Cross Village along Lake Michigan. The 20 miles long scenic road is especially popular in the fall.

Our rating: As autumn is our favorite time of year, we also really enjoyed the drive here. The stops at the General Store in Harbor Springs and the coffee shop in Trillium Woods were a nice break. We made a longer stop at Pond Hills Farm to enjoy a beer on the pretty terrace. A trip that is definitely worthwhile.
