Midway USA

Description: In 1939, two World's Fairs were held simultaneously in San Francisco and New York. A magazine published a photo on which a sign showed Kinsley, Kansas as the center of the USA. Next to the sign on the outskirts of Kinsley you can also see a historic locomotive. The small park where the sign and the locomotive are located is open 24 hours a day and there is no entrance fee.

Our rating: Surely not a must see, but a nice little roadside attraction. If you're in the area anyway or interested in old trains, it's certainly worth a short stop.
