Indianapolis

Description: Indianapolis is the capital of the state of Indiana and has over 2 million inhabitants. Especially the car races held in the city are known far beyond the state borders. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is a mecca for motor sports fans in particular. The 2.5mi long oval holds 300000 spectators, making it the largest sports stadium in the world. The Speedway was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Our rating: Unfortunately, we can not really say much about Indianapolis, so far we have only had time for a short visit to the city center. We liked what we have seen so far and we can imagine to come back for a longer and more detailed visit.
