Garden of the Gods
Description: The Garden of the Gods is a public park at the foot of Pikes Peak. The attraction are the bizarrely shaped sandstone formations that are up to 65 million years old. The park serves as a recreation area for the greater Colorado Springs area. So if you are looking for peace and quiet, you are in the wrong place. Especially on weekends and at the end of the day you can meet joggers, horseback riders, hikers and families walking around.
Our rating: Quite nice location in Colorado Springs. For us it was a little too cultivated and crowded. But it is worth a short stop. You know beforehand what to expect.
