Mitchell Corn Palace

Description:  A nice little roadside attraction can be found in Mitchell. Marketed as the world's only Corn Palace, here you'll find a multi-purpose hall whose outer shell is made entirely of corn. The design changes annually. So it's worth visiting more often.

Our rating: We visited the Corn Palace during our first trip together in 1994. Certainly not a must see but it was impressive to see what you can make out of corn. Although we would not drive any detours for it, it is worth a stop if you are in the area.
