Eufaula
Description: Eufaula is located in southeastern Alabama, right on the Georgia border. Although Native Americans and settlers lived in the area earlier, the town was not founded until 1857. Located on the Chattahoochee River, it thus prospered primarily from the trade of goods produced on the numerous plantations. Many well-preserved antebellum houses still bear witness to this time. These, partly very splendid, houses can be admired along N Eufaula Ave. Some can also be visited from the inside.
Our rating: We liked the houses very much. It was fun to stroll around a bit here. The only little problem was finding a parking space. There is almost no street parking and if there was, it was usually already occupied.
